Question 1

Do I need to be good with computers?

Accepted Answer

No. If you can use WhatsApp you can use TradeQuote. Everything is big buttons and short forms, and you can talk a job through out loud instead of typing it.

Question 2

Can I use it on my phone on site?

Accepted Answer

That is what it was built for. Add it to your home screen and it opens like an app, with number keypads for prices and quantities and camera access for job photos.

Question 3

Does it handle VAT?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Set your default rate once and every quote and invoice works out the subtotal, VAT and total for you. You can change the rate on an individual document.

Question 4

How does the customer accept a quote?

Accepted Answer

They get a clean quote page with your business details and the itemised costs. They accept or decline on their own phone and you see the decision straight away.

Question 5

Can I take part payments?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Record a deposit or a part payment against an invoice and the outstanding balance updates. Overdue invoices are flagged so you know who to ring.

Question 6

What happens to my quotes when I invoice?

Accepted Answer

The quote is preserved exactly as the customer accepted it. The invoice is a separate document with its own number, so editing it never changes the quote.

Question 7

Is my customer information private?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Your business data is separated from every other account, and only your login can read it.

Question 8

What if I stop paying?

Accepted Answer

You drop back to the free plan. Your existing customers, quotes and invoices stay in your account and you can still view them.
